James E. Campos was nominated by President Donald J. Trump and confirmed by the United States Senate as the Director of the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity at the United States Department of Energy in April 2018. As Director, Mr. Campos is tasked with ensuring that minorities and underserved communities are afforded an equal opportunity to fully participate in Department programs. Mr. Campos also serves as the Department of Energy’s Equal Employment Opportunity Director and Chief Diversity Officer. Additionally, Mr. Campos is the Department’s designee on the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council and the White House Council on Eliminating Regulatory Barriers to Affordable Housing Development and other White House Interagency Initiatives. Prior to joining the Department of Energy, Mr. Campos was the Senior Advisor on Economic Development & Strategic Planning to the President of Nevada State College. Over the span of his career, Mr. Campos held several Nevada Gubernatorial appointments to include: the Equal Rights Commission, the Governor’s Workforce Investment Sector Councils on Gaming, Tourism & Entertainment and on Mining and Minerals, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development’s International Trade Council, the Taxi Cab Authority Commission, and the Commissioner of the Nevada Consumer Affairs Division. Also, Mr. Campos has been a small business owner and adjunct business professor.Mr. Campos holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

Dr. Hussein Abaza is currently the Senior Advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Environment. Prior to holding this position he has worked for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) from 1982 up to 2009. During his tenure with UNEP he was responsible for formulating and overseeing the implementation of the UNEP Economics and Trade Programme, led the team which conceptualized and launched the UNEP Green Economy initiative in October 2008, and functioned as the Special Assistant to the Executive Director of UNEP. Positions while at UNEP also
included Chief of the Economic and Trade Branch, Coordinator of the Committee of International Development Instituitons on the Envrionment (CIDIE), and Coordinator of the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN). Founded the Centre for Sustainable Development Solutions (CSDS) in 2011 with the main objectives of promoting green economy and sustainable development, with particular focus on Egypt and the Middle East. The Centre aims at achieving its objectives through technical support, research, training,
community based activities, and public awareness campaigns. As an Advisor to the then Minister of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform and Head of the Sustainable Development Team launched in 2018 a process for revising and updating the 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy for Egypt.
Prior to joining UNEP, functioned as Chief Executive Officer of the United Nations Physical and Urban Planning project in Saudi Arabia, Managing Director of the Center of Planning and Architecture in Cairo, Egypt, and Director of the Islamic Investment company, Central and Northern Region, Saudi Arabia. Apart from functioning as the Senior Advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Environment, he is currently a Fellow of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and a member of the Environment Council of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.
During the course of his professional career he provided technical assistance and supported country projects in
Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Projects aimed at strengthening national capacities to conduct integrated assessment as a tool to integrate environment and social considerations in macroeconomic and secotral policies, develop a package of policy measures, including economic instruments for implementing mutually supportive environmental, social, and economic policies. He also participated and delivered keynote statements and attended a series of national, regional and international workshops and events on sustainable development and "Green
Economy". Meetings and workshops were convened in Abu Dhabi, Amman, Beirut, Florence, Hamburg, Islamabad, Marrakech, Rabat, Qatar, and Tunisia.
During his long and extensive professional life he worked as a consultant/advisor for a number of international organizations, including the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Economic Commission for Western Asia (UNESCWA), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the European Union (EU), Plan Blue, the Union for the Mediterranean (UFM), the Arab Forum for
Environment and Development (AFED), the Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE), and the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ), SWEEP-Net, SWITCH-Med programme, and the League of Arab States.
He prepared and contributed to a series of publications on environmental and integrated assessment, the interface
between trade and environment, valuation of environmental and natural resources, the use of economic instruments for environmental management, and the Green Economy for the Arab Region, and manuals on sustainable development, integrated policy making, environmental assessment, green economy, environmental economics, and trade and environment.

Dr. Bassem Nassouhy is the General Manager of Scientific Business Solutions Group of Environmental Consulting and Sustainability Consultancies in the GCC and the Arab Republic of Egypt based in the United Arab Emirates, he is also a Chief Advisor Alternative Fuel & Alternative Raw Material as well as his advisory roles including Environmental Consultant for FNRC (Fujairah Government – UAE), SREE Advisory board member at Sharjah University and others.

Prior to that, he served as manager of the Occupational Safety, Health, Environment and Fire Protection Department of Lafarge Emirates Cement (Lafarge-Holcim group) in the United Arab Emirates for 4 years.
Prior to joining the Lafarge Group, Dr. Bassem served as manager of Environment, Operation, Quality, Occupational Safety and Health departments at several major international companies including Orascom Construction, EDF électricité du France, Korea Smile Company, Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency.
Dr. Bassem received various scientific degrees, including a PhD in the management of environmental, occupational safety and health systems, as well as an MBA and a diploma in in industrial pollution control and environmental management from Japan.
He has also received several credits as a consultant and international trainer accredited in several areas of management, environment, health, and safety from major institutes and universities in Japan, France, Egypt and the United States of America as well as international credits from the US Department of Labor and the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
Dr. Bassem has provided consulting services for many well-known private companies and government authorities, and has published several publications and presentations at international conferences.

Olumide IDOWU is a Nigerian climate change champion. He advocates for environmental consciousness and champions a balanced approach to development and environmental conservation. He has been actively involved in climate change advocacy for the last 12 years and is strategically positioned to engage younger and older generations through his articles, active participation in climate change groups and the use of social media where he is popularly known as ‘Mr Climate’
Through the years, he has worked with corporates, the media and managed culturally and nationally diverse teams. He has volunteered in social change initiatives, mentored and worked as a strategist for various private and public institutions.
Olumide IDOWU is the co-founder of the International Climate Change Development Initiative, a non-governmental institution that seeks to grow climate-smart generations across Africa while addressing gaps in development. He is also the Youth Focal Point in Nigeria for UNDP Small Grant Program, Youth Lead Author Global Environmental Outlook (GEO6) & Communication Director for African Youth Initiative on Climate Change. Donna has been a champion of the rights and participation of child and young people in the environment sector is over 60 countries for more than 25 years. Her international development work has been widely recognized and published by UN partners including UNICEF, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Health Organization (WHO) and others. She is the Founder of Earth Child Institute (ECI), an international not-for-profit organization working in more than a dozen countries, including Brazil, China, India, Ghana and the United States. In the private sector, she served as Global Program Director for Swarovski Waterschool as well as Turner Broadcasting for Cartoon Network, MTV through production of a documentary special program about water featuring JayZ and the Netflix documentary entitled ‘Waterschool’.
Donna moderates the K-12 eePRO group of the North American Association of Environmental Educators (NAAEE) and first introduced ECOMASTERS to the world, as Keynote speaker to the 2019 International Conference for Education for Sustainability in Delhi, India. In a global webinar, organized by the Mobius Foundation on World Environment Day, 5 June 2020, she unveiled her plan for re-imagining global education in a post COVID-19 world. In 2021, her work on values-based education for empowerment of every child is being published as an ECI white paper and has been presented with the Sri Sathya Sai Centre for Human Values, WeNaturalists.com and the International Impact and Policy Research Institute (IMPRI).

Peter Newman is the Professor of Sustainability at Curtin University in Perth, Australia. Peter is an academic who has written 20 books and over 350 papers on sustainable cities with a global reputation and has worked to deliver his ideas in all levels of government. Peter has worked in local government as an elected councilor in Fremantle, in Western Australia’s state government as an advisor to three Premiers and in the Australian Government on the Board of Infrastructure Australia and the Prime Minister’s Cities Reference Group. He is the Co-ordinating Lead Author for the UN’s IPCC on Transport. In 2014 he was awarded an Order of Australia for his contributions to urban design and sustainable transport particularly for his work in saving and rebuilding Perth’s rail system. During that time, Nico worked in a Boston private equity firm that specialized in the search fund asset class where he built financial/operating models, conducted extensive commercial, legal due diligence, and industry research. Nico is an avid private pilot, flight instructor, and SCUBA diver.

Shalu leads The Council's work on residential energy access, demand-side management and power sector reforms. She uses data to study the changing energy landscape and devise strategies to ensure universal access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy.
Shalu recently led India's first-ever Residential Energy Survey (IRES) spanning across 21 Indian states. She closely works with power utilities in India to design and implement strategies to improve operational and financial performance through innovative approaches for billing and collection, smart metering initiatives, tariff and subsidy reforms, and business models to scale energy-efficient appliances. She has played a key role in building The Council’s work on sustainable solar irrigation and supports the research on sustainable cooling strategies and subsidies reforms.
Shalu has published in leading international journals, authored opinion pieces for national dailies and regularly advises senior government officials. Shalu is a Chevening Fellow, and holds an MSc from University College London, and a BTech from IIT Roorkee, India.

Vladislav Kaim is a young Moldovan economist and climate action and sustainability advocate with a vast experience at the UN level, as well as on multiple national and local platforms in Moldova, Russia and Sweden. He has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international economics from the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) in 2018 and a master’s degree in economics from Lund University (Sweden) in 2021, where he researched the impact of the Trade and Sustainable Development (TSD) chapters in the free trade agreements of the European Union over the imports of green goods into the bloc. He was awarded as Best Moldovan Student in Diaspora (2015) for his academic and extracurricular excellence.
In 2014, Vladislav together with two colleagues co-founded MDG (changed to SDG in 2015) International Youth Forum – one of the first youth advocacy platforms in Russia and the wider region dedicated to popularizing UN sustainability agenda and providing high school and university students with the skills and knowledge required to effectively localize Agenda 2030. Upon the end of his term as Secretary General in 2017, he spent a year in the green export markets research, after which he served from 2018 to 2019 on the board of Malmö chapter of Swedish Association for International Affairs (SAIA).
From 2019, Vladislav has been heavily involved in the multilateral arena working on youth empowerment for climate action through his work with various stakeholders to encourage bringing youth as experts to the table. His main fields of advocacy have been green jobs for youth, just transition, green and sustainable economic growth and reforms to the multilateral climate finance agenda. For two years Vladislav has been active with YOUNGO, official youth constituency to the UNFCCC, and UN MGCY, where he was a member of the working group on SDG 8 and later Global Focal Point for Europe in the Migration Working Group. In 2019, he has been part of the organizing team for the first ever UN Youth Climate Summit that took place in New York. For the first half of 2020 Vladislav joined the Talent Development Unit at UNDP where he helped to streamline learning experience for UNDP employees around the world.
In July 2020, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres appointed Mr Kaim to be part of his inaugural Youth Advisory Group (YAG) on Climate Change, tasked with ensuring a substantial role for youth voices in the implementation of the Secretary General’s Climate Strategy, making Vladislav first Eastern European young activist in such a position. In this quality, he has been focused primarily on ensuring greater recognition of youth expertise, linking of climate finance and debt agendas and youth-friendly green jobs programs. During his mandate, Vladislav co-authored multiple reports, opinion pieces and interventions, including at the highest level, dedicated to aforementioned topics, with the latest being his contribution to the Report of the Technical Working Group 2 (“Energy Transitions”) for the UN High-Level Dialogue on Energy.
Besides his current commitment to the YAG, Vladislav is also an expert member of the Climate Governance Commission at the Global Challenges Foundation, contributor to the Common Futures Conversations platform at Chatham House and Young European Ambassador at EU Neighbors East. In April 2021, he became one of 10 finalists of the Swedish King’s Scholarship for Value-Based Leadership. From October 2021, Vladislav entered the new cohort of the IMF Youth Fellows.

Robert Tippmann (German Emissions Trading Association, BVEK) has worked for more than 20 years in the field of environmental finance and low-carbon and climate-resilient development – including for a leading climate change services provider and previous assignments with international, bilateral and research organizations. Robert worked for more than 9 years at climate change service provider EcoSecurities, a subsidiary of the financial services company J.P. Morgan at that time after being an Alternative Investment Market-listed company since 2005, most recently heading its consulting business. This includes his role as a Principal Advisor-Climate Investments to a UN organisation for over 4 years. He draws upon previous assignments with the UNFCCC Secretariat, the GIZ, the Center for Development Research and the Institute for Medium-Sized Businesses Research, amongst other. He is co-founder of Climatekos, a climate action project and programme developer and environmental finance solutions and advisory services provider, and serves as Chairman of the German Emissions Trading Association (BVEK).

Eng. Salem Alajmi is a faculty member at the College of Technological Studies in the Public Authority of Applied Education and Training, Kuwait. Alajmi gets his master’s degree of Science in Electrical Engineering September 2018 from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He gets his bachelor’s degree of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, USA 2000. Alajmi is currently a board member at Arab Council for Sustainable Energy and Vice Chairman of Technical and Scientific Authority in the Council. He is recognised as a Certified Renewable Energy Expert from European Energy Centre. He has been an active member in Kuwait Society of Engineers since 2003. Ralph received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in

Education program holding positions at GTE and IBM which proved to be valuable
work experiences in corporate America. After graduating college Ralph lived in
Santo Domingo Dominican Republic for four years managing his family business.

Following his entrepreneurial spirit Ralph returned to New York and opened his

Michael Burrows currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for the Inland Valley Development Agency and SBD International Airport, overseeing the privatization of the former Norton Air Force Base in Southern California, which includes Alliance California, a Hillwood development. He is an established development and transportation professional, with over 20 years of public and private sector management expertise having also worked for the Staubach Company prior to rejoining the Airport effort in 2005. Michael has a proven background in municipal, special district, corporate, transportation, commercial development, real estate, international trade, foreign direct investment, and legislative sectors and has focused his efforts on developing and delivering quality projects, programs, and services, including strategic planning, capital planning, strategic alliances, and public-private partnerships. Rufaro Nyasha Matsika is a Climate Change scientist. She holds a Bsc in Environmental science and technology and a Masters in Safety, health and Environmental Management .She currently volunteers as a Community Development Research Officer at the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change Zimbabwe, and also a member of YOUNGO's ACE Working Group. She is a certified expert under the UNFCCC roster of experts responsible for the Technical expert review of Biennial Update Reports submitted by non-Annex 1 parties to the UNFCCC. She is currently training to become a Greenhouse Gas Inventory expert under the Energy sector, responsible for developing Zimbabwe's Greenhouse Gas inventories, through the UNFCCC and Greenhouse Gas Management Institute. She is also a published author in the Journal of Cleaner Production on Circular economy.
